Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical and Electrical Location: Telford TF6 5HD Salary: £35 - £38K, DOE + Benefits Contract: Permanent, Full time Hours: 40 hours Benefits: • 24 days holiday + birthday + Bank hols, Increasing by one day after 2 years and after 4 years. • Pension with enhanced matched contribution level after probation • MediCash Health cash plan at level 2 after probation • EAP • Free tea and Coffee • On site parking • Company Events Maintenance Engineer – About the role: The role of the Maintenance Engineer is to ensure preventative and scheduled maintenance of all machinery at the Telford site, ensuring safe plant and minimal disruption to Production. You will prepare and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for the Telford Site to ensure safe plant and equipment whilst minimising disruption to Production. Our site is open from 08:00 until 00:30 and so you must be prepared to be available for call-outs in rota with other members of the maintenance team. You will also: • Liaise with machinery suppliers to carry out scheduled maintenance. • Maintain the asset register for equipment on site. • Provide guidance and recommendations to the Production Manager with regards to new equipment and working practices. • Work with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure plant is safe and complies with appropriate regulations. • Review all new machinery proposed and work with the H+S and Production Managers to ensure new equipment is fit for purpose. • Train staff in the appropriate use of factory machinery. • Mentor and Develop Technicians. • Issue and control permits • Fire Alarm Maintenance, insurance inspections • Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults. • Diagnosing breakdown problems. • Undertake facilities/electrical maintenance work and new installations when required. Maintenance Engineer – Candidate, you will have: • At least one years’ experience of working in a similar role - essential • 18th edition Electrical Regulations – essential • Mechanical engineering experience • Excellent problem-solving skills • Be able to work under pressure and keep a cool head • Good interpersonal skills • Be able to work with all levels of the company About the Company: PelGar International is the leading British manufacturer of highly effective rodenticide and insecticide products for the control of public health and farming pests around the world.
